In 2016 we updated our school aims. Children, parents and staff agreed on aims for everyone in our school. Some of our children worked with Nick Sharratt (our Patron of Reading) to develop characters to match each of these aims. Next, we involved Kirsty Aitken, a local artist and specialist teacher who worked with pupils to further develop these characters. There are 6 characters. Respectful reindeer, friendly frogs, honest owl, responsible robin, hardworking hedgehogs and resilient rabbit.
The characters are on display in the main corridor and around the school. They will be used in classes, assemblies and throughout the school to embed our expectation of attitude and behaviour for all within our school community.
We will use our characters to create animations that demonstrate how our aims will look in practice. Stay tuned for these..
